Itinerario di musiche di Andrea e Giovanni Gabrieli sul tema della Pasqua.

L'esecuzione è affidata al Gruppo Vocale e Strumentale VeniDilecteMi di Venezia diretto dal M° Jonathan Pradella, che presenterà una formazione composta da 8 voci, tromboni, cornetto e organo positivo.

Il percorso scruta il mistero della passione, morte e risurrezione di Cristo dalla prospettiva della gioia per la vittoria del Figlio di Dio; la nuova alleanza nel Corpo e Sangue di Gesù si dimostra più forte della morte quando il mattino di Pasqua le donne sono le prime testimoni che il Crocifisso è vivo. Egli è colui che “fà nuove tutte le cose” (Ap 21,5), che suscita l'esultanza dei fedeli e che chiama a sé la Chiesa, sua sposa, nel canto dell'Alleluia.
Tra i diversi brani proposti si segnalano di Giovanni Gabrieli Jam non dicam e Angelus Domini descendit a 8 voci, Surrexit pastor bonus a 10, Regina caeli, a 12, e inediti madrigali spirituali come Jesu dulcissime e Surge formosa mea di Andrea Gabrieli, oltre a toccate, ricercari e canzone strumentali.

The musical journey looks at the mystery of Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ from the perspective of the joy for the victory of the Son of God; the new Covenant on the Body and Blood of Jesus turnes out to be stronger than death when, on Easter morning, the women are the first witnesses that the Crucified is alive. He is the one who “makes all things new” (Rev 21:5), who fosters the exultation of the faithful and who calls the Church, his beloved bride, to sing the Hallelujah.
The ensemble will perform a selection of Easter pieces, including Giovanni Gabrieli: Jam non dicam and Angelus Domini descendit for 8 voices, brass and organ, Surrexit pastor bonus for 10 voices, Regina caeli for 12 voices and unpublished spiritual madrigals like Andrea Gabrieli's Jesu dulcissime and Surge formosa mea, as well as toccatas, ricercari and instrumental canzonas.
